Your data will need to be formatted accurately to successfully be imported
💡 You do not need a template for your import, but an easy way to create a template is by running a Tabular Report on the relevant Entity and using the columns included in that spreadsheet as the format for your import data.

If a cell contains invalid data (i.e. data that cannot be mapped to the specified field type), the Import tool will return an error message indicating which row/s, field/s and value/s are incorrect. No records will be created by the importer. You must review your spreadsheet, update the data and run the import again.
Some examples of invalid data include:
-
Classifications (tags) which are expressed incorrectly
-
Dates which are formatted incorrectly
-
Short text fields that contain too many characters
-
Text which is included in a Number field
