This article covers the navigation and auditing options in the Classification Management area.
Required System Role: Enterprise Admin
It's not uncommon for your Issues list, Event Types, or any other types of Classifications to get away from you, and you may find that you need to rearrange the structure
Some common examples include:
- Project/s changing reporting requirements
-
Capturing the data in different/evolving ways
Our Classification management area allows you to easily review your Headings and Tags.
Accessing the management area
Access is via the cog at the top right of CM. Once in the management area, select Classification Management under Classifications.
This will open the Classification Management area to the right.
First, select the Classification list you want to manage.
The List will load.
Navigating your Classifications
At the top right of the list workspace, next to the "+ Add Classification" button, there is an Export button and a menu, accessed via the three dots.
Exporting a list will produce a .csv file summarising the Headings and Tags on that list with the following details:
- Numerical IDs
- Type (Heading or Tag)
- Name
- Description
- Hierarchy
- Path string (used for importing data)
- Restricted Projects
Under the three dots, you can also access the following options:
- Show deleted classifications - Toggle this option to show or hide deleted Headings and Tags in your list. You can then restore these, where required.
- Show duplicate classification tags - Toggle this option to show only Tags which have identical naming to another Tag under a different Heading. You can then merge these, where required.
- Show restricted classification tags - Toggle this option to show only Tags which are restricted for use only by specified Projects. You can then unrestrict or restrict as required.
- Show tags without records - Toggle this option to show only Tags which are not linked to any active records. You can then retire these Tags as required.
- Show headings without children - Toggle this option to show only Headings which do not have any Tags assigned. You can then retire these Headings as required.
